1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using VCWorld, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. Our Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms and explains how personal data is processed.

2. Service Description

VCWorld provides VC investment intelligence, including VC firm profiles, investment trends, funding announcements, public source links, company-level public business contacts, lead tracking, and signal tracking. Features may change at our discretion.

The service is a research and workflow tool. It does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, or accounting advice.

3. Public Sources and Third-Party Rights

VCWorld summarizes and categorizes publicly available information. We do not claim ownership of third-party articles, PDFs, slides, trademarks, logos, or source materials. Unless explicitly stated, VCWorld is not affiliated with the VC firms, publishers, or data providers listed in the service. Source materials must be reviewed on the original publisher's site and under that publisher's terms.

You may not use VCWorld to bypass publisher access controls, reproduce full third-party works, remove attribution, or imply endorsement by a listed VC firm, publisher, founder, investor, or data provider.

4. User Accounts and Security

You must provide accurate information when registering
You are responsible for your account security
You must not share your account credentials
You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized account access

5. Subscription and Payment

Pro subscriptions are billed via Stripe
Subscriptions auto-renew until cancelled
You may cancel anytime via the billing portal
Refunds are provided only where required by law or at our discretion
Taxes may apply depending on your location and Stripe billing settings

6. User Data and Outreach Compliance

If you upload, import, paste, store, or process contact information, outreach targets, investor notes, or other personal data in VCWorld, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis and any required notices or consents. This includes compliance with GDPR, ePrivacy, PECR, CAN-SPAM, anti-spam, unfair competition, and other applicable marketing or privacy laws.

Do not upload sensitive personal data unless a feature expressly requires it and you have a valid legal basis.
Do not use VCWorld to send unlawful spam, deceptive messages, harassment, or messages that ignore opt-out requests.
You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated outreach drafts before use.
You must honor deletion, opt-out, objection, and correction requests that apply to data you control.

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy explains our role as a controller for account, subscription, newsletter, public-source, analytics, and service operation data. For personal data that you independently provide to VCWorld for your own outreach, CRM, matching, or research workflows, you are responsible for your own controller obligations unless a separate written data processing agreement states otherwise.

8. Prohibited Use

Reverse engineering or scraping the service
Reselling or redistributing the data
Using the service for illegal purposes
Attempting to breach security
Using contact data for unlawful spam or harassment
Submitting malware, secrets, credentials, or data you are not authorized to use
Using automated access that degrades service reliability or violates technical controls

9. Data Accuracy and Research Use

VCWorld aggregates data from public sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for investment, fundraising, hiring, legal, compliance, or business decisions. You should verify important information against the original source and professional advisers where appropriate.

10. Removal and Correction Requests

Rights holders, listed firms, publishers, and individuals may request removal or correction of specific VCWorld listings, summaries, source links, or contact records. Send the relevant VCWorld URL, the affected source, and the requested action to privacy@vcworld.online or the contact page.

11. Intellectual Property

VCWorld and its original software, design, indexes, summaries, taxonomies, and service content are protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your internal business research and workflow purposes.

12. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, lost-profit, lost-data, or business interruption damages arising from the use of the service, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, security risk, non-payment, unlawful use, or material risk to the service or others. You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy.

14. Governing Terms and Legal Rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer, privacy, or data protection rights. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If a change materially affects paid users, we will use reasonable efforts to provide notice through the service or by email.
